CHS Students in Juried Art Show

Two students from Catskill High School have their artwork featured in the 24th annual Juried Art Show at Columbia-Greene Community College, which opened January 21 in the Foundation Gallery on the C-GCC campus. Isabella Seeley and Anna Franklin join art students from surrounding high schools to show their work and compete for prize money. The artwork on display was selected by the art departments of each participating high school and involves a wide variety of media, approaches, and subjects. Karen Davis, the curator/co-founder of Davis Orton Gallery in Hudson, will serve as this year’s juror. The students are in the running for a total of $600 in prizes for first, second, and third place, as well as a Director’s Prize and three honorable mentions. The show runs January 21 through February 21 – gallery hours are Monday to Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission is free.
