Dear Catskill High School and Middle School Community,
This morning at approximately 10:30 a.m. Catskill High School and Catskill Middle School went into a brief shelter-in-place to investigate an allegation reported to the High School main office shortly before. An immediate investigation was conducted by our School Resource Officer and the school administration, and it was determined that the allegation was unfounded and it was safe for school to continue as normal. The shelter-in-place was lifted at 10:45 a.m. Please note, a shelter-in-place involves students not moving around the building and remaining in their classrooms with learning taking place as normal. The safety of our school community is always our top priority, and we appreciate everyone’s cooperation and support.
Sincerely,
Dr. Daniel Wilson
Interim Superintendent of Schools, Catskill Central School District
