The Catskill Board of Education has appointed Lee Heim to fill the vacant seat created by the resignation of Board member Deborah Johnson. The Board swore in Mr. Heim at its September 20, 2023 meeting. He will serve an eight-month term running from now until May 21, 2024, at which time the seat will be filled by the annual Board election.

Mr. Heim was the next highest vote getter behind the three candidates who were elected at the May 16, 2023 Board election. He is a Town of Catskill resident with two children attending Catskill Central School District.
