Our school meals are a lot greener these days. In November, all our cafeterias made the switch from Styrofoam serving trays to biodegradable trays made from recycled materials.
Catskill High School choral student Ava Higgins was selected to attend and perform at the Zone 9 Area All-State Festival held at Suffern Central School District on November 22 and 23, 2019. There, the junior joined other top student performers from around the region in singing with the Mixed Choir ensemble.

A team representing Catskill CSD attended the STEAMing Towards Success conference hosted by our regional BOCES. The focus of the conference was on creating partnerships between businesses and schools in order to prepare students for success in 21st Century STEAM careers. It’s no yarn – Catskill Central Schools had two cats in this year’s Cat’s Meow Gala and Auction that sold for a total of $2,000! The annual auction, held this year on September 21, is organized by The Heart of Catskill Association and proceeds go to support the community.
