CMS History Day

On February 9th, all grade eight students at CMS participated in the annual History Day Fair. This year’s theme was Innovations in History. History Day is an educational program sponsored by the NYS Historical Association to encourage students to explore local, state, national, and world history.

Karsen Chiminelli Wins CMS Spelling Bee

Seventh grader Karsen Chiminelli successfully defended her title as Champion this January during Catskill Middle School’s 2018 Spelling Bee. She and other students from grade six through eight showed their mettle in this school-wide spelling showdown that took 29 rounds to decide.
