Banker Provides Real-World Insight to Financial Applications Students

In an effort to enhance financial literacy among its students, Catskill High School’s Career & Financial Applications class recently welcomed The Bank of Greene County’s Municipal Banking Associate and Catskill alumnus, Liam Mahoney. During his visit, Mr. Mahoney discussed compounding interest and its applications in banking and investing, which proved to be a highly informative and engaging session.

Catskill High School takes pride in fostering strong connections with our community, exemplified by collaborations with esteemed business partners on our Career and Technical Education (CTE) Advisory Board. Welcoming alumni like Mr. Mahoney, who generously share their professional expertise, reinforces our school’s commitment to providing students with real-world insights.
The event exemplifies CHS’ dedication to equipping students with practical knowledge and ensuring they are well-prepared for future financial endeavors. We look forward to fostering more collaborations that bridge the gap between classroom learning and real-world application.
