Geography on an Epic Scale

Students in grades three through five enjoyed a science assembly of global proportions when Mobile Ed Productions’ Earth Dome came to Catskill Elementary School. Standing at 19-feet high, this super-sized inflatable balloon represents Earth as it appears from space using imagery taken by satellites. Students learned about geography and environmental issues as they explored the planet from both outside and inside the balloon. They learned about Earth’s continents, time zones, latitude and longitude, and more! Students in PreK, first, and fifth grades will get to explore the universe when Mobile Ed’s Sky Dome exhibit arrives at CES in February.
