Catskill’s Rose Honored at Regional Art Show

The judges at Columbia-Greene Community College’s Annual Juried Student Art Show awarded Catskill sophomore Callie Rose with an Honorable Mention for her folded heart book design! Award winners were announced at the show’s opening reception on February 8.

It is a big honor to even participate in this juried show, which features fine artwork from students across Columbia and Greene counties. Also exhibiting at the show was CHS sophomore Jiselle Caswell. The reception was well attended and all participants were commended for their contributions.

“I am so proud of both Callie and Jiselle for their diligence and dedication to their artwork,” said CHS art teacher Wendy Doney.

The show will remain up in C-GCC’s Foundations Gallery through March 3, 2024 when the College is in session.

This is the second year in a row that a Catskill student has received an award in this regional art show. Cats can and Cats will!
